Each and every human being has immeasurable value in the eyes of God. To get an idea of the value of a soul, let’s listen to a question Jesus once asked: “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul”(Mark 8:36 NIV)? If you were the richest man in the world, you would not have enough money to purchase your soul from God. This makes a soul more valuable than the entire world. God created you in His own image and likeness. He knows you by name and He loves you. The newspapers may not know your name, but God does. There’s nothing ordinary about you. You are very special to our Heavenly Father.
