Understandably, many mothers need to work outside of the home, and, for various reasons, many want a job that is a career. Of course, most single moms must be the “bread winner” as well as their children’s primary caregiver. And, during those years when children most need the attention, guidance, instruction, example, and affection of a mother, this duty has to take precedence. Sadly, some women feel society does not highly value a stay-at-home mom. But, the Bible praises a woman who does not merely keep a house, but makes it a home through her love, sacrifice, and godly influence.
