Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…”Loyal believers are not alone in their death; Christ is right there, by their side with a special grace. Many of us have wondered, “If I were persecuted for my faith, could I die for Jesus?” Or, “Could I endure a long, painful illness?”  The answer to both these questions is “No, not in your own strength.”  But, the Lord does not leave us to ourselves. He will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear (see 1Corinthians 10:13). He gives extraordinary grace to those faithful souls whom He calls to endure extraordinary death.
