Job was tested with more tragedy than most men could bear. Natural disasters and enemy raids took Job’s children, his livestock, and most of his servants. Yet, Job said, “Should we accept good from God and not trouble?” That is trust! Isaiah spoke of God’s right to do with us as He wills, saying, “But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand” (Isaiah 64:8 KJV). If you have ever built or crafted anything, you have a bond with your creation. In much the same way, God has a special love for each of us. So, whatever He allows in our lives, our relationship with Him, if based on trust, will be indestructible.
