When I made the commitment to sincerely follow Jesus, I began viewing Him as my Friend. At that point, life became rather like a bike ride. The bike we rode was a tandem bike—the kind built for two people. I steered, and the Lord was in back, helping me pedal.
I don’t remember exactly when He suggested we switch places, but at some point He did, and life has not been the same since!
Sometimes I worried and anxiously asked, “Where are you taking me?” I didn't trust Jesus at first. I didn’t want Him to control my life because I thought I could do a better job of it myself. But, Jesus knows how to take sharp corners, jump clear of rocks, and sail over scary places. So, I am learning to shut up and pedal. Come along on this journey…Bicycling with God!
