The healing needs of believers vary greatly. The effects of embarrassments, abuses, molestations, and neglect by those with whom they were emiotionally tied, must all be dealt with and healed by the Healer of broken hearts. The bandages must be removed, the wounds cleansed, and the terrible sting eliminated. After Jesus called Lazarus back from the dead, He instructed those standing nearby to "loose him, and let him go" (John 11:44.) At that point, even though Lazarus’ life had been restored, he was still bound in grave clothes and must have had great difficulty moving about. Jesus, however, was unwilling to remove the grave clothes Himself; He left that work to others. Discover our critical role in our own healing process.
