A wise preacher once said that we should plan every day as if we will live a very long time, but we should also conduct our lives as if we will die tomorrow. However, the greatest mistake we make is to forget that reaching the end of the journey safely has to be the ultimate goal.
The majority of people who died on Everest, lost their lives on the decent ... on the return to the bottom. You see, reaching the mountaintop was their goal when it shouldn't have been, because the journey isn't over once the summit is reached. Climbers still have to return to the bottom. In Matthew 24:13 Jesus said, the one who endures to the end will be saved.
