Jesus gave us one simple principle that if followed, quickly builds integrity. In Matthew 5:37 He said, “Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’” In other words, mean what you say, and you’ll gain the respect of both God and man. Integrity is simply doing what you said you would do. It’s giving your word, and considering it a promise. One important requirement is found in verse four: “Those who keep their promises - even when it hurts.”
