God looks to find fruit in the lives of believers. The most quoted verse in the Bible is John 3:16. It says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." That word “should” shows expectation. We should not perish, which implies that believers could miss out on God’s eternal plan for them! When we profess to believe, its like leaves on the tree and God sees this in our life. Then, He comes looking for the fruit that should accompany belief.
