God made us for his pleasure, and He takes pleasure in loving us and in our loving him back. God made us to be with him forever. The earth was originally ideally suited for this purpose. The garden was a paradise where God communed with Adam. Then sin came, and everything changed! The close relationship was broken. But, God’s purpose did not change, and He set a plan in motion to restore man to sinless perfection. But, we are not only the object of His love; we are also the instrument of His purpose. Not only are we to respond to the good news with faith, we are also called to spread it to others. And if we keep that purpose in mind, there will be evidence of blessing as He works through us.
