It might be hard to imagine that being broken is a good thing. When things break, they generally don’t work like they are supposed to. But, when it comes to people, being broken can be one of the greatest blessings in life. Those who have never experienced brokenness are usually hard, insensitive, and unfeeling. Unlike a tool or appliance that loses its usefulness when it is broken, our hearts become more responsive to God and to others when we experience brokenness.
