Thousands of people were dedicated to follow Jesus around the Sea of Galilee as long as there was something in it for them; even loaves and fishes. But, the dedication that God wants comes out of devotion to Him. Then, we choose to live by a higher set of values. Our service to God takes on meaning beyond our self and extends to others who God loves as much as us. Our devotion to God causes us to love what He loves.
