Being kind often means being spontaneous, meeting a need, and moving on, without being able to check in at a later date to see how someone used our gift of time, goods, money, or encouragement. Often, only God knows what fruit will or will not spring up from our kind deeds. Kindness is not to be offered only when we think it may bring about a desired result. Nor is it meant only for those we may think are worthy of our attention – the “pretty people,” the well-mannered, the popular, or the highly educated. Discuss why no good deed is ever wasted.
