Just like fruitful trees, people can also be fruitful. A fruitful person uses their time and abilities well, either to make good things or to do good things. The Bible says, in Psalms 1:2-3, that people who take pleasure, or delight, in doing God’s will, “are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper” (NLT). This topic tells the Biblical event of how Jesus dealt with an unfruitful fig tree and includes an icebreaker, Scripture references, discussion questions, and a fun activity.
