When God told Moses, “Tell them I AM has sent you,” He was revealing not only something deep and personal about Himself, but about what He does. “I AM” is a name that declares God is with us now - wherever we may be, and that He will be whatever we need Him to be at a particular time. God continued to let us know that He is eternally present when the Emmanuel (“God with us”) told the Pharisees, “Before Abraham was I AM.” This topic presents the continuity of God’s loving, protective, and saving involvement in the lives of His created children.
